For this special edition of the hand-wound Tangente 38 date model, numerous elements of the dial have been individually matched to the character of the watch. 31 special models for every day of the month, 31 different personalities—each limited to 175 pieces. Tangente date Ziegelblau is inspired by the old brickwork that some NOMOS employees pass by on the way to work. Fortunately, there are still many buildings in eastern Germany that have not been renovated or plastered over.
Tangente is probably the best-known German wristwatch and has been impressing with its clarity and elegance for over 30 years. The high-quality textile strap in dark gray underlines the dynamic character of this colorful special edition. It is tailor made for NOMOS Glashütte in France.
The slender typography of Tangente and the dial with the traditional sub-seconds dial are unmistakable and yet come into their own in every color composition.
The red of the main dial contains an extra dose of brown pigments. The tone is broken up by the sky blue of the sub-seconds dial. Only the outer ring is as cream-colored as the numerals and indexes and all the lettering.
The date background and thus the date ring of the movement is a calming shade of beige. The date numerals in the large window at 6 o'clock are black.
Inside ticks the handcrafted date movement DUW 4101 with the NOMOS swing system, regulated according to chronometer values for the special edition. The name of the watch and the limited edition engraving can be found on the back.
Tangente is famous for this elegant profile: the flat stainless steel case with angled lugs is only 6.8 mm in height, even with the date mechanism.
