Tangente date Tiefseegrau conjures up images from the deep sea: of giant squid, dragon fish, and other animals that live in the dark. An intimate watch, clever, perhaps a little dramatic. Tangente is probably the best-known German wristwatch and has been impressing with its clarity and elegance for over 30 years. The high-quality textile strap in dark gray underlines the dynamic character of this colorful special edition. It is tailor made for NOMOS Glashütte in France.
The slender typography of Tangente and the dial with the traditional sub-seconds dial are unmistakable and yet come into their own in every color composition.
The pink minute ring looks even more unexpected against the muted black of the dial. The hour numerals and hour and second indexes are cream-colored, as is the NOMOS Glashütte logo.
The date background is also kept in the basic color of the dial, black, and the date numerals are cream-colored—perfectly legible because the date ring around the outside of the movement allows for an extra-large date window.
Inside ticks the handcrafted date movement DUW 4101 with the NOMOS swing system, regulated according to chronometer values for the special edition. The name of the watch and the limited edition engraving can be found on the back.
Tangente is famous for this elegant profile: the flat stainless steel case with angled lugs is only 6.8 mm in height, even with the date mechanism.
