For this special edition of the hand-wound Tangente 38 date model, numerous elements of the dial have been individually matched to the character of the watch. 31 special models for every day of the month, 31 different personalities—each limited to 175 pieces. This watch looks like licorice tastes and is therefore named after the candy made from licorice roots. A warm, dark version of the NOMOS classic, for all those who want a little color on the wrist, but not too much.
Tangente is probably the best-known German wristwatch and has been impressing with its clarity and elegance for over 30 years. The high-quality textile strap in dark gray underlines the dynamic character of this colorful special edition. It is tailor made for NOMOS Glashütte in France.
The slender typography of Tangente and the dial with the traditional sub-seconds dial are unmistakable and yet come into their own in every color composition.
Another complex tone: the basic color of the dial is anthracite with dark green parts, the outer and minute rings are smoky blue, while the numerals and indexes, as well as the NOMOS logo, are cream-colored.
The date is presented here with a red background and white numerals—making it quite eye-catching. It is the same red as on Tangente date Rambazamba. For both watches, each limited to 175 pieces, caliber DUW 4101 is handmade exactly 350 times in total with a date ring in this color.
Inside ticks the handcrafted date movement DUW 4101 with the NOMOS swing system, regulated according to chronometer values for the special edition. The name of the watch and the limited edition engraving can be found on the back.
Tangente is famous for this elegant profile: the flat stainless steel case with angled lugs is only 6.8 mm in height, even with the date mechanism.
