Description

In 2014, the NOMOS caliber DUW 4401 started a new era at NOMOS Glashütte: It was the first caliber to feature our proprietary escapement, the NOMOS swing system, and so served as a declaration of independence from the large corporate groups that dominate the market. It is a sensation in the world of fine mechanical watches since this pacesetter and heart of a caliber is incredibly difficult and highly complex to produce.

This movement features two patented NOMOS complications within—the date and power reserve indicators. The latter is incredibly practical, and reminds the wearer when to rewind the watch. One each of the Metro and Tangente models are powered by DUW 4401.
