Can I get my watch engraved?
Yes, we’d be more than happy to help add a personal touch to a NOMOS watch. If you would like a longer message engraved (which can be up to four lines of 22 characters each), you should select a stainless steel back. There is plenty of space for a personal touch, as we offer blank stainless steel backs with only the watch’s reference number for engraving. If you choose a watch with a sapphire crystal glass back, only a few characters—such as a date or initials—can be engraved. When adding an engraving to a NOMOS watch back you already own, you have the option to exchange the back at the same time; otherwise, the engraving can be placed above or below the NOMOS logo on the standard stainless steel back.
Where to get a watch engraved?
If you are placing an order with the NOMOS Store, you can add an engraving to your NOMOS watch at the same time. This also applies if you are purchasing a new NOMOS watch from a local retailer. Should you already own the NOMOS watch that you would like to have engraved, we recommend getting in touch with your local NOMOS retailer as your first point of contact. They should be able to provide this service—as should many independent jewellers. Otherwise, you can also contact NOMOS service department directly.
How much is a watch engraving?
If you are ordering a new watch from the NOMOS Store online, a standard engraving through the engraving tool is complimentary. If you would like to add an engraving to an existing watch, please get in touch with your local NOMOS retailer or the NOMOS service department for pricing.
Does engraving a watch devalue the watch?
Not at all! This personal touch only makes a watch more meaningful to the wearer. In the unlikely event that the owner wishes to resell the watch at some point in the future, the back can be exchanged for a non-engraved one upon request.
How long does it take to get a watch engraved?
If you order a new watch directly from the NOMOS Store online, it will add approximately two business days to your delivery time. Should you already own the NOMOS watch that you would like to have engraved, we recommend that you check whether your local NOMOS retailer can provide this service. Otherwise, please contact our service department in Glashütte for further assistance.
