A handshake is all you need to wind your watch: Tangente’s larger, more robust brother ticks automatically. This multiple prizewinning watch quickly became a classic as well—and is the perfect fit for larger wrists. Its caliber raised NOMOS Glashütte to the status of a caliber manufacturer and, since then, has ensured outstanding accuracy.
At first glance, almost impossible to distinguish from Tangente: Tangomat viewed from above.
Clear lines, angular form—all the way to the lugs, which are a tick more present on the wrist than those of Tangente.
The tempered blue hands tell the time with beautiful precision—and are created by heating stainless steel to 290°C until it turns cornflower blue.

Impression
At first glance, this watch appears like a somewhat larger Tangente. But Tangomat is more—equipped with the automatic caliber DUW 5001, this watch has a taller profile, for wrists with substance.

Safety instructions
NOMOS uses 316 L stainless steel for all cases and buckles. This type of stainless steel is not fully free of nickel, but it does not pass nickel on to the skin; the amount of nickel in the alloy is about 12 percent. Thus, the amount of nickel passed to the skin is less than 0.2 micrograms per square centimeter per week and far below the medicinally acceptable amount. Other stainless steel alloys might have a lower percentual amount of nickel in the alloy, but they pass more of it on to the skin.
