This watch shows what NOMOS Glashütte loves to do best. Why have only a single date display when you can keep track of the days in two exclusive ways? Here, the ring date around the edge of the dial and a large window at 6 o'clock both have their role to play. Together, they present the current date at a glance and keep the entire month in view. This innovation is enabled by the newly developed caliber DUW 4601, a hand-wound movement with quick change date adjustment. Tangente 2date is 37.5 millimeters in diameter and available in two dial versions: white silver plated or galvanized blue.

Tangente 2date in detail

A change of perspective: The watch with two elegant date displays

The exclusive NOMOS ring date was previously only available in the Update versions of Tangente neomatik and Metro neomatik. With the new DUW 4601 caliber, a hand-wound watch can now also feature it for the first time. And because we do not do things by halves, the classic date display at 6 o'clock can continue to display the current date, while the ring date provides an overview of the month. It is the art of synchronicity in a watch.

The narrow serif numerals are a typical feature of the Tangente model. They can also be found in the date display at 6 o'clock. The grooved surface of the sub-seconds dial is called azurage.

The date ring, which forms the background of the date window, is the same color as the dial: a deep blue that means the date is clearly legible in white.

The richly decorated new movement can be seen through the sapphire crystal glass of the extra-large display back—including the date ring plate. Anti-reflective coating on the inside ensures that this view is particuarly clear.

DUW 4601: The caliber with a sun salutation built in

DUW 4601: With this caliber, which ticks inside Tangente 2date, the sun really does rise in the world of hand-wound watches. The rays of sunbeam ribbing also reach the date ring plate, and the technology underneath is no less brilliant. The innovative date mechanism has a convenient quick-set mechanism, and the mainspring barrel can store energy for more than two days' power reserve when fully wound— 52 hours. And all this with a movement height of just 2.8 millimeters. A particularly attractive extra is the skeletonisation of the balance cock, which reveals the NOMOS swing system.

The centerpiece of the fine sunbeam ribbing is the NOMOS swing system with its blue balance spring. An elegant skeletonized balance cock provides an almost complete view of the balance wheel.

The fine sunbeam ribbing extends to the date ring plate. The placement of the date ring around the movement is a NOMOS specialty. It glides gently on six rubies.
