Description

The design of this watch draws its inspiration from the deep anthracite and black of volcanic rock. Accents in blue, red, and silver represent the wealth of minerals contained in cooled lava. The power and splendor of nature transposed onto a dial. This worldtime watch with an automatic caliber is functional and sporty in equal measure. It presents all 24 time zones at a glance and has a 24-hour display for a second time zone. Volcano is limited to 175 pieces—an exclusive and very personal connection with the world.

Details

The world in a 40-millimeter diameter: the tripartite case made of high-quality stainless steel on the integrated Club Sport link bracelet can handle any activity and sits comfortably on the wrist.
The main dial is dark gray, the city ring black. The city code above 12 o'clock, underlined in red, represents the selected time zone. With the two subdials for the seconds and a second time zone, this watch is dynamic with a clean design.
The time at the location you have set as your home or second time zone is shown by an hour scale with six digits and a single hand. Day and night phases are differentiated by color both on the scale (blue and red) and on the subdial itself: silver for day, black for night.
The time zones can be adjusted using the pusher on the case at 2 o'clock. A red warning ring shows whether the crown is fully screwed down—when it is, a water resistance up to 10 atm is guaranteed.
Excellent legibility, even in low-light conditions: the hour numerals and markers, as well as the hour and minute hands, are generously inlaid with blue luminescent Superluminova.
NOMOS Glashütte is known for the slim profile of its automatic watches. The robust Club Sport model with a worldtime mechanism is only 9.9 millimeters in height—making it one of the thinnest worldtimers yet.
The globe in gold on the rotor, which can be seen here through the sapphire crystal case back, is the hallmark of the elegantly thin NOMOS world time movement DUW 3202. The complication is fully integrated into the innovative neomatik caliber.
