NOMOS watches have already received more than 170 awards from international public and expert juries—for appealing design, watchmaking skill, and sustainability. This overview shows which of the most important annual awards have gone to which models.
Capital Watch Award
This award, launched by German Capital business magazine in 2018, aims to inspire and provide guidance at the same time. The idea is to find the right watch for every need and every wrist in the diverse watch industry. The beautiful watches from NOMOS Glashütte have already been recognized several times by the expert jury.

Chrono Award
The Austrian Chrono Award has been presented in several categories since 2003. It is considered a meaningful indicator of industry developments and is awarded by the Austrian magazines FORMAT and trend. Readers decide which watches win in the various price categories.

German Brand Award
This award is presented to companies in Germany for successful brand management and brand strategy. Launched in 2016 by the Rat für Formgebung (German Design Council), the German Brand Award is highly regarded far beyond specialist circles. Organized as a foundation, the Council acts as a lobby for design-oriented companies. NOMOS Glashütte is not a member of the Council, which is currently around 300 in number.

European Product Design Award (ePDA)
Since 2016, the ePDA has honored outstanding design that makes everyday life easier and more beautiful. It is organized by the US-based Farmani Group, which is dedicated to promoting design, architecture, and photography and organizes exhibitions, awards, and competitions worldwide. Entries are evaluated in 21 categories in terms of innovation, aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.

German Design Award
Like the German Brand Award, the German Design Award is also presented by the Rat für Formgebung (German Design Council). This accolade is regarded internationally as a premium prize that strengthens the reputation of designers and companies. It honors top-class products and projects from the fields of product and communication design, as well as individuals who are breaking new ground in the German and international design landscape.

Goldene Unruh
The Goldene Unruh (Golden Balance) is one of the best-known German awards for new watch models. It is an audience award in five categories that has been presented annually by the watch magazine Uhren-Magazin and the news magazine Focus since 1998. The decisions are made by the readers of Uhren-Magazin and the registered readership of Focus online. The editorial team of Uhren-Magazin also awards a technology prize.

The Good Design Award, which has been presented since 1950, is one of the most prestigious design prizes worldwide. It is awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the Ireland-based European Center of Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The Good Design Award stands for innovative design and high-quality products that are convincing in form and function.

Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG)
This prize with 21 categories is the most prestigious watch industry award in the world. Founded in 2000, the GPHG was initially organized by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, and since 2011 by a foundation.

Green Product Award
The Green Product Award recognizes products that combine the best design with technical innovation and sustainable production. The Green Future Club, a German network of personalities from the fields of design, material development, sustainability consulting and media, is responsible for the award. An expert jury nominates the 100 best applications, then the public decides.

The iF Product Design Award has been presented for outstanding design achievements for over 60 years. Anyone who is awarded the iF label by the international jury of experts has proven that the design of their product adds value. Luxe!Awards
Since 2009, the German magazines Madame and A&W Architektur und Wohnen have presented the Luxe!Awards, which were designed to honor watches and jewelry. On the Madame side, a prominent jury decides, while the Luxe!Design Award by A&W is an audience award.

Munichtime
This public fair for fine watches took place in Munich every fall between 2009 and 2018. It was accompanied by a watch of the year in each of four categories: Classic Elegance, Feminine Aesthetics, Sporty Dynamics and Complicated Mechanics. The public was able to decide on a shortlist of participating manufacturers on site.

Red Dot Design Award
The history of this German award dates back to 1954, when the Verein Industrieform (Society for Industrial Design) with an interest in modern design was founded on the initiative of Krupp AG. The following year, an exhibition was opened for the first time in the Villa Hügel in Essen, Germany. In the following decades, the event went international, the supporting association was renamed "Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen", the logo became the red dot and the competition aspect was differentiated into three disciplines: product design, brand and communication, and design concept. Today, the Red Dot is a globally recognized seal of quality.

Watch of the Year
This German title is awarded annually by the readers of the specialist magazine Armbanduhren and the newspaper Welt am Sonntag. Watch fans are invited to vote for their favorites among the new products from well-known brands. As there are no categories, but only one winning model is chosen from watches of all price ranges and types, this election is particularly exciting.

Viennatime
The world elite of fine watchmaking presents itself at Austria's largest watch exhibition. Viennatime is not a sales exhibition, but an event intented to inform and show performance. In the run-up to the event, the vote for a watch of the year takes place online, with all participating brands nominating their favorite model in the following four categories: Classic Elegance, Feminine Aesthetics, Sporty Dynamics, and Complicated Mechanics. The choice is up to the public, sometimes there is an additional category decided by a jury of experts.
