DUW 2002

A wonderful form movement that fills the golden case of the NOMOS model Lux perfectly. The manually wound NOMOS caliber DUW 2002 shares many of the advantages of the outstanding movement DUW 1001, but its special feature is the beautifully classic form that calls for the highest level of design and manufacturing expertise and intensity of labor. Not many watchmakers worldwide are capable of creating such a caliber. The elegantly decorated movement has 23 jewels (five of them in polished and screwed gold chatons) and a twin mainspring barrel with a power reserve of three and a half days—the best you can find at NOMOS Glashütte.

Swan neck fine adjustment, NOMOS’ own fine sunbeam polishing, and the hand-beveled edges make the high precision mechanical movement a very special jewel indeed. The hand-engraved balance cock reads “lovingly produced in Glashütte,” which is a perfect summary of DUW 2002’s construction.
